Josine (J.A.E.M.) Jansen was born in Breda, October 29, 1988.
At age five, she received her first music lessons at Dongen´s
School of Music.

Josine started playing the violin when she was six years old. From age 15 she studied with Coosje Wijzenbeek, Hans Scheepers at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (,,Jong Talent Klas'').
Last june (2006) Josine auditioned for the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague and Sweelinck
Conservatoire in Amsterdam. She passed both, but decided to study with Mr. Detlef Hahn at
the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Josine participated several masterclasses like Margess International of Switzerland (2003
and 2006), Goch Stringtime Germany (2004, 2005), Peter the Great Festival (2002, 2004),
Holland Music Sessions (2006) and International summercampus Rostock Germany (2006).
In 2002 Josine won the first prize at the national Fontys Concours.
In 2002 she received a ´diplome d´honneur´ at the ´Prinses Christina Concours´.
In 2005 Josine participated the national violin competition ´Davina van Wely´ (semi-finals)
and the international Kloster Schöntal Competition (semi-finals).

Josine followed masterclasses with musicians like György Pauk, Herman Krebbers,
Robert Rozek, Detlef Hahn, Vera Beths, Jaring Walta, Petru Munteanu, Mikhail Mouller,
Illona Sie Dhian Ho, Stefan Metz, Lex Korff de Gidts, Jaqueline Ross, Chrzystof Smietana, Belcea Quartet.

Josine plays a Serge Stam violin, built in Utrecht (2005).



Besides being a violinist, Josine is a vocal talent.
In 1996 Josine has been chosen to participate Annie-the musical (director Martin Charnin, a production of Stardust Theatre). Two years with performances followed (in many well-known
theaters in the Netherlands and Belgium, like Carré, Amsterdam and Luxor Theatre,
Rotterdam). In 1998 she participated the VARA Youth Songfestival (first prize in Eindhoven, provincial round), which resulted in several film- and radio broadcastings.
In 1999, 2000 and 2001, Josine sang in the National Children´s Choire (conductor Silvère
van Lieshout and Peter Dijkstra). Together with the Children´s Choire Josine participated in
many productions like I Pagliacci (Leoncavallo) and Mahler Symphony no.3 conducted by
Valerie Gergiev, Riccardo Chailly, Evgueni Svetnalov, Claus Peter Flor, Hartmut Haenchen.
In season 2003-2004 Josine sang in the Brabant Choire (conductor: Louis Buskens).
In 2003 Josine participated ´Prinses Christina Concours´ (diplome d´honneur).
She now studies singing as a second study with Ms. Margaret Humphrey Clark at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
